Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases pose one of the major challenges in health research today. Bringing together leading experts from a wide spectrum of fields, the 2017 Düsseldorf-Jülich Symposium on Neurodegenerative Diseases will serve as a forum for interdisciplinary perspectives on Alzheimer’s pathology and related diseases with a focus on the underlying phenomenon of amyloid aggregation.
19 Talks will be presented by internationally renowned experts over the course of three days (see preliminary program). All speakers will give thorough general introductions into their topic before presenting their own latest research. This format aims to create a basis for cross-disciplinary discussion and enables early career researchers to learn about the current state of knowledge in a broad spectrum of Alzheimer’s research and related fields.
Poster Session: We welcome abstract submissions on Alzheimer’s related topics as well as on other neurodegenerative diseases. Sponsored by the Joachim Herz Stiftung, threePoster prizes will be awarded. Furthermore, speakers will give guided poster tours to selected posters.
Talks by early career scientists: From the first authors of all submitted poster abstracts, five will be chosen in advance for an invited talk. 20 minute time slots are reserved in the program.
Registration is free, but limited to a maximum of 150 participants. Please register at the latest until October 8, 2017. Submissions of poster abstracts will be accepted until September 17, 2017. Please find further information on: http://www.ipb.hhu.de/duesseldorf-juelich-symposium-2017.html
